Wow! We just made it in the door back home and I’m completely exhausted. But it was completely worth it!

This weekend we attended the Romance Travel Expo in Burlington, MA. As media partners, we got to not only talk to the attending couples about their upcoming honeymoons and destination weddings, but also got to schmooz with all of the amazing vendors. I’ll be talking about a lot of the folks we met in the coming weeks. One of our most exciting chats was with the lovely ladies of A Girl’s Gotta Go, a group that specializes in vacation packages “for women, by women, and those they travel with.”

Cramming in visits with some good friends, beautiful babies and a drive in the torrential rain rounded out the weekend. We’re headed to bed. Totally beat, but very happy.

What a sweet weekend we had, starting with this strawberry tart on Friday night. The rest of the weekend was filled with friends, a bit of work on the site, and some ice skating in Brooklyn. We’re on the couch tonight, with the Oscars in the background, gearing up for a big week.

The first exciting event happens this Friday on the Destination I Do blog, where my first guest post will be running. They’ll be featuring a honeymoon post of mine every other week. If you don’t know Destination I Do magazine and are considering an out-of-town wedding, be sure to pick up a copy.

Then coming up this weekend, I’ll be at the Romance Travel Expo in Burlington, MA, where we’ve been invited to be media partners. I can’t wait to meet the fabulous couples in attendance and talk with the reps from all of the Tourism Bureaus and resorts. If you live in the area, come stop by the show, admission if free. Can’t wait!

The slightly-blurry iPhone photo above shows you how we spent this weekend… at the New York Times Travel Show. It was a great time talking with resort owners, tourism reps and folks who are as passionate about travel as we are.

That show has us super-excited about the upcoming Romance Travel Expo in mid-March. Looking forward to meeting some great folks up in Massachusetts.
