Happy Anniversary to us! June 7th is our day and we’ve spent the weekend wishing each other many more years to come.

We’d like to introduce the newest member of our family… our new car! It’s a cute little Honda Insight. We picked it up Saturday morning and spent the weekend cruising around Jersey. The highlight was a day trip to Sandy Hook, complete with a picnic on the beach. Expect to see some more great day trips in the near future…

And check in all this week for a great honeymoon to St. Lucia that has some sweet photos of a heavenly and relaxing resort.

Spending this afternoon on the pier in Hoboken was just what I needed. Warm sunshine, views of Manhattan, the May issue of Food & Wine and bottle of nail polish the color of the Real Honeymoons logo (pretty close to the Pantone color of the year, by the way) was just about perfect. Seeing an adorable little harbor seal on our walk over from Jersey City was icing on the cake.

I’ve been loving vicariously spending time in the Caribbean with the posts from the past few weeks. We’re going to continue in that region with a visit to St. John this week. My lovely friends Andy and Shaira were kind enough to write up their own review of their honeymoon there. Not only did I get to attend their fantastic Connecticut back yard wedding, but I had the honor of being their photographer as well. Their wedding was great, and the honeymoon was even sweeter. Just checking in with you, our lovely readers, in between two great weeks of posts from Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba. Last week we featured our own site visit down there. And coming up this week is the stunning, romantic, intimate destination wedding of Carla and Tad Bohlen of Oklahoma. They were kind enough to share some really beautiful photos with us.

Our weekend is coming to a lovely, lazy end with homemade pizza and catching up on the DVR. We packed in dinner with Chris and Marissa at Lighthorse Tavern here in JC, I caught a play with my awesome brother, watched some Netflix, volunteered at a free breakfast, and had an indulgent brunch at Max Brenner (check out my awesome hot chocolate above). New week, here we come!

Once again we’ve had a weekend jam-packed with great friends and fam. We hosted a guest on Friday night, had some of our favorite toddlers (oh, and their parents) over for a Saturday morning brunch, hit up a Jersey City Craft Fair and today we strolled through Central Park with my brother and checked out the 2010 Biennial at the Whitney.

In this week’s posts, we’re headed back down to Aruba to check out Bucuti Beach Resort, which is consistently named one of the most romantic resorts in the Caribbean. What’s all the fuss about? Check in this week to learn more about why they’re a great spot for destination weddings.

Tim and I spent a great weekend getting to finally spend some time together… we’ve been so busy lately I think we were starting to forget one another’s names. Our Friday dinner date at one of our favorite local spots started off the weekend right. The highlight was taking in a Mets game at Citi Field, a belated birthday gift for my hubby. The Mets may have lost, but Bud Lite, peanuts and french fries made it a great day.

I’m gearing up for a whole lot of posts from my recent trip to Aruba. I’m looking forward to sharing some of the photos and info from the resorts I visited, as well as info on planning destination weddings on the island. I’ll also be highlighting some of our personal favorite spots and activities. Stay tuned all this week!

What a jam-packed weekend of sun, fun, and good food. Tim and I spent a ton of time cooking some great meals at home, having coffee in the park with the Sunday paper and having a few drinks and apps at some favorite spots. We checked out a new neighborhood place, Hamilton Park Inn, too.

All this sunshine and great weather had us discussing upcoming summer vacations. We’re busy trying to decide where we should go and when. Planning and discussing vacations can be almost as much fun as taking them for us.

We’re totally jealous of this week’s “real” couple, Jaime and David. They took an incredible, food-loving honeymoon to Morocco and Spain. Their photos are absolutely incredible. I’m so excited to share this incredible journey! Check back all week.

We’re just wrapping up a weekend of hosting a book club brunch (for me), attending a fantasy baseball draft (for Tim) and a night out on the town with friends for drinks and a movie (for us both). I’m shocked to type this, but Hot Tub Time Machine was surprisingly actually worth the 13 bucks I paid to see it!

This week I’m featuring some more posts on mini-mooning in New York’s Finger Lakes wine country. It’s such a beautiful area of the country, with really fantastic wines. And yet it’s laid back and not at all pretentious. Makes me want to plan another weekend up there this spring!

Bon dia from Aruba! This has got to be the nicest spot on Earth to write a Sunday Evening Post. As always, this place does not disappoint. Warm water, white sand beaches and great food abounds. I’m going to keep this one short, since there’s Balashi that needs drinking.

Coming up this week, my friend Greg of Flying Fur Photography shares this incredible photos and narrative about the honeymoon he took to Tanzania. He and Kim are so lucky to have had this once-in-a-lifetime experience. I know you’ll love the posts as much as I do. Check in every day this week.

What a sweet weekend we had, starting with this strawberry tart on Friday night. The rest of the weekend was filled with friends, a bit of work on the site, and some ice skating in Brooklyn. We’re on the couch tonight, with the Oscars in the background, gearing up for a big week.

The first exciting event happens this Friday on the Destination I Do blog, where my first guest post will be running. They’ll be featuring a honeymoon post of mine every other week. If you don’t know Destination I Do magazine and are considering an out-of-town wedding, be sure to pick up a copy.

Then coming up this weekend, I’ll be at the Romance Travel Expo in Burlington, MA, where we’ve been invited to be media partners. I can’t wait to meet the fabulous couples in attendance and talk with the reps from all of the Tourism Bureaus and resorts. If you live in the area, come stop by the show, admission if free. Can’t wait!
