This is an exciting post for us… and an exciting day, too. We’ve been working on this site for weeks now, and have gotten great reactions from everyone we’ve told about it. As our about us page says, this idea was born from out real life experiences and we hope that it will help other couples out there trying to plan their honeymoon on the internets.

We’re going to start off simple. One couple’s destination a week, and grow from there. Ally’s going to do most of the posting, but Tim will contribute with some helpful hints for budgeting and planning along the way. We’re prepared to learn from our mistakes and listen to suggestions.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with laying on a beach at an all-inclusive resort for seven days. Seriously, we’d go right now if we could. But we hope to showcase a variety of experiences, destinations and budgets to give our readers ideas of what makes a memorable trip.

Logically, we’re staring with the people we know: our friends and family. They’ve gone on some pretty rad trips, and their advice helped us plan our own honeymoon. But if you know someone with great photos and stories, send them our way.

And of course, what’s a blog without a little self-indulgence, right? So the first trip on our list? Our own.
